Electric injection moulding machines can combat rising energy costs for packaging manufacturers, but Europe lags behind countries such as Japan, according to Sumitomo (SHI) Demag.
Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery, a subsidiary of Demag Plastics Group in Schwaig, Germany, has launched a Systec SP (Speed Performance) 280, which can manufacture 1.2L polypropylene buckets (84g) in 5.3 seconds.
